Agriculture Labour Sub-Program
Facilitates the development of projects designed to build the capacity of the PEI agricultural workforce.
Benchmarking & Risk Management Sub-Program
Supports the development of projects to build the capacity of PEI agricultural producers, small to medium-sized agri-businesses, and agricultural organizations to measure aspects of their performance and compare them to industry standards.
Building Sector Capacity Sub-Program
Assists sectors in implementing their key priorities, such as organizational development and activities to expand domestic and international markets for Prince Edward Island producers and small to medium-sized agri-businesses. Facilitates the development of projects to enhance the capacity of PEI producers, small to medium-sized agri-businesses, and organizations to respond to change.
Business Planning Sub-Program
Supports PEI agricultural producers, small to medium-sized agri-businesses, and agriculture organizations with business, financial, and operations management activities.
Training Sub-Program
Supports the agriculture sector by providing funding for skills training in three categories:
- Agri-Skills Individualized Training
- Group Training for Agricultural Producers, Agri Processors, and/or Agri-Businesses
- Organizational Development
Business Risk Management Program
AgriInsurance
AgriInsurance is a program which includes insurance against production losses for specified perils (weather, pests, disease) and is being expanded to include more commodities.
AgriInvest
AgriInvest is a savings account for producers, which provides coverage for small income declines and allows for investments that help mitigate risks or improve market income.
AgriRecovery
AgriRecovery is a disaster relief framework to help agricultural producers recover from natural disasters.
AgriStability
Program Details | Forms and Guidelines
AgriStability provides support when a producer experiences larger farm income losses. The program covers declines of more than 30% in a producer's average income from previous years.

Future Farmer Program

The Future Farmer Program supports new farmers to improve the probability that they establish or continue profitable and sustainable commercial farm businesses. The program will help new entrants identify and prioritize their business goals and will help them identify planning, management and technical skills that are needed to reach their goals.

Implementation of Strategic Initiatives Sub-Program
The Implementation of Strategic Initiatives Sub-Program supports activities that allow organizations that represent PEI organic stakeholders to develop and coordinate products intended to increase the sector's strategic capacity.
Increasing Market Competitiveness Sub-Program
The Increasing Market Competitiveness Sub-Program supports producers and processors in capturing a larger share of the certified organic market which will increase their profitability.

The Perennial Crop Establishment Sub-Program supports high-value perennial crop production. Emphasis will be placed on establishment of new and expanding perennial crop enterprises.

Product and Market Development Program

The Product and Market Development Program is designed to expand domestic and international competitiveness by supporting small and medium-sized agricultural producers, agri-businesses and agri-processors to expand their product base or markets through:
- Value-added and agri-food processing projects;
- Market development activities on PEI; and
- Market development activities through intra jurisdictional projects.
Strategic Industry Growth Initiative
